Our 3rd Valentine's day together. Each one gets more impressive than the last. I love celebrating with you, and I think this year is \ our best one yet! Traveling around China with you has been a dream. Ever since I met you, you've talked about how you wanted to come \ back and visit your family. And here we are! I enjoy how we understand each other now. We both know what makes the other happy, what gets the other upset, and we strive to maximize \ the first and minimize the second. The most important optimization problem of them all (that's a joke for the nerd in me lol). But most of all Nina, I love how I fall in love with you more and more every day. I love it when you're cutesy, when you're goofy, and \ when you're grumpy (in the sweet way). I love how you're adventurous and outgoing, but also very soft and gentle. I love the balance \ in life that you exhibit. It's something I have always wanted in a partner. I love how you love your family, and I love how they love you \ (and hopefully me too!). I love how you're always thinking of ways to make those around you happy, and very importantly, I love the person \ you are deep down. I love how you're always learning and growing, and I love how you're always trying to be better. Since being with you, I have felt myself becoming more and more like a man. Because the true mark of a man is when his top priority \ is to provide and protect his loved ones. What I didn't realize was how that has the side-effect \ of making me want to become even more ambitious. Even more successful. Even more healthy. Even more kind. To be honest, I used to think \ I would have to try and balance a relationship with success, where the more attention I spend on one, the less I spend on the other. You \ have made me realize that it's actually the opposite. The more I love, the harder I work. The more I care, the more I strive to be the \ best version of myself. One of the things I love the most about our relationship, is how you support me and pick me up when I feel that I cannot be the person \ I wish to be. You encourage me to take (calculated) risks in life, and I will forever be grateful for this. Every moment with you adds joy to my life. Happy Valentine's Day, my love.
